I think my plant is the longest surviving plant out of all? wrong?
Anyway its not in a very pretty state as you can see. And its not due to lack of sunshine or water. ( Its on a window ledge with ample sunlight and accesible to rain and in the event of no rain, someone waters it)
So what do you think caused it to wither and die?
THE ROOTS.
The roots weren't deep enough and there wasn't enough soil.
Lets draw parallels.
2 weeks ago we talked about surrendering our past. The plant despite being given continual nutrients, died. The lack of soil and depth of root was not apparent at first ( we prob can't see how the bad experiences in our past affect our current state) but slowly and surely it was what killed that plant. '
we can also see it in the way that we need to be sure of the fundementals. We need to firmly believe that God exist and He is all that we ever know and continue to know about Him. Ie. He has a plan for our lives, He loves us and we need to trust Him. If not even though we go for cell group and church and continue to receive ' nutrients', we may turn back one day and question the reality of God and all. Deep Roots can also by synonymous with being grounded in the word.
haha, yup just some thoughts after looking at my dead plant :0 May not really understand cause I tend towards incoherency.
yupss.. see you all on Friday :)
